In this role, you’ll work with colleagues and leaders across multiple departments and locations to turn ideas into action, keep projects moving forward, and deliver meaningful results.

 

You’ll serve as a key driver of enterprise-wide initiatives—bringing structure to complex projects, connecting the right people and resources, identifying roadblocks, and keeping stakeholders informed from kickoff through completion. Location: This position is based out of our Charlottesville Support Center Office, located in the Dairy Market. This role offers a hybrid schedule, balancing occasional on-site work with remote flexibility. It is highly preferred for Candidates to be within driving distance of the office for on-site days.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide projects and organizational change initiatives from planning through successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain clear project scopes, schedules, milestones, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Manage and work within a prioritized project portfolio, ensuring initiatives remain aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple departments and locations to keep projects moving forward.
  • Lead effective project meetings, establish clear action items, and ensure accountability for follow-up.
  • Identify risks, roadblocks, and competing priorities and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, and performance, providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, tools, processes, and resources.
  • Communicate project updates, expectations, risks, and outcomes clearly to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Drive projects toward successful outcomes while balancing scope, schedule, resources, and organizational priorities.
  • Help build project management capabilities by training and supporting colleagues in project management fundamentals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and apply project management best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Services, Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management, Health Informatics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience successfully delivering healthcare projects; healthcare IT experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Project Management certification such as CAPM or PMP preferred; candidates without certification should be willing to obtain PMP within one year of hire.
  • Experience managing projects using Smartsheet preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify barriers, simplify complex situations, and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and leadership, both directly and indirectly.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Intellectually curious with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.

$90,000 - $100,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
