Care Hospice is seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Manager of AI & Automation to lead the design and delivery of intelligent solutions that enhance efficiency, improve data quality, and support better decision-making across the organization.

**Location: This position is based out of our Charlottesville, VA Support Center Office, located in the Dairy Market. This role offers a hybrid schedule, balancing occasional on-site work with primarily remote flexibility. The ideal candidate should be within commuting distance.**

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI and automation across clinical, operational, financial, and corporate functions
  • Design, build, and deploy intelligent automation solutions using workflow tools, data platforms, APIs, and AI technologies
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, define requirements, and deliver measurable improvements
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Establish and promote standards, best practices, and scalable patterns for AI and automation solutions
  • Collaborate with data, application, and platform teams to integrate solutions into existing systems and workflows
  • Ensure all initiatives align with data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Promote responsible and ethical use of AI, including defining appropriate use cases and limitations
  • Mentor and support analysts, developers, and other team members as AI and automation capabilities expand
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends, recommending practical adoption opportunities
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while adapting to evolving business priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience delivering automation, data, or AI-enabled solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including LLMs and prompt design
  • Experience with RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, APIs, and workflow automation tools
  • Proficiency in Python and/or SQL for data processing and automation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to improve complex workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries preferred

$125,000 - $175,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
