Care Hospice is looking for a self-motivated EMR Service Manager to join our Charlottesville Team. We offer the opportunity to take on new challenges and a culture of teamwork that sets us apart

Ideal Candidate should live in the State of Virgina and be able to meet in-office for occasional meetings and trainings as needed. 

 

The EMR Service Manager will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system deployment, manage release schedules, and facilitate change management. With expertise in communication, training, and documentation, the EMR Service Manager will drive user adoption and support system goals. Additionally, the EMR Service Manager will manage technical aspects, conduct risk assessments for system changes, and make informed decisions to minimize overall system risk.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project managers to ensure successful deployment of EMR system and enhancements.
  • Develop engaging communications, user training, and system demonstrations.
  • Create documentation to support adoption of system features and processes.
  • Manage external vendors to deliver superior services aligned with business needs.
  • Test and validate system releases to ensure reliability.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes and training environments for maximum user adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify impactful opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive collaboration across departments to exceed user expectations.
  • Maintain technical aspects of the system, including troubleshooting.
  • Perform risk and impact analysis for system changes.
  • Manage system change control processes for EMR releases.
  • Develop and maintain EMR system processes and policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Health Information Technology/Management, or related field strongly preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Electronic Health Record (EHR), or equivalent enterprise systems
  • 3-5 years experience providing customer support to EMR end users
  • Working knowledge of technologies and suppliers that support the hospice business (e.g., clearinghouses, pharmacies, durable medical equipment)
  • Proven experience managing technology and process improvement projects
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office Suites, O365, SharePoint, and Microsoft TEAMS

$70,000 - $100,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
